Alocasia macrorrhiza - Giant Taro

Also known as the Giant Taro, this plant has large attractive foliage with glossy green leaves that resemble elephant ears. This evergreen plant is extremely versatile as it can be planted in full sun, part shade or full shade position. Also handles wet and boggy areas. Leaves grow up to 60cm wide and 1.2m long. Macrorrhiza is also suitable for growing in pots either in the garden or on patios. 
* Please note these plants have been part shade grown. If planted in full sun they will need a little time to adapt. 

Position: Full sun to part shade or full shade

Grows to Height: up to 2m to 3m high

All plants are priced by pot size. When opting for a larger plant, you are selecting a plant that is overall more advanced and mature than the smaller size. The root ball is more established therefore supporting quicker growth.
