Heliconia bihai 'Big Bud'

A great Heliconia for the garden where larger heights are not required. Growing 2.5m to 3.5m tall, Big Bud will still offer screening without getting too big. Rich orange bracts with yellow lip and flowers. You won't see this heliconia around too much so if you want a point of difference this is one to consider.

Position: Full sun to 40% shade

Grows to Height: Approx 2.5m - 3.5m

Note: It's not all about the height. When opting for a larger plant, you are selecting a plant that is overall more advanced and mature than the smaller size. The root ball is more established therefore supporting quicker growth.
